Livelihood, children’s education, and climate is our focus
It is our broader mission to empower individuals, especially the underserved populations. Initiatives such as financial literacy programs and training help our customers improve their economy and livelihood.
While our mission is to end poverty, we also recognize the importance of environmental sustainability. We adopt environmentally friendly policies and ethical practices and support environmental conservation projects such as tree planting to minimize the ecological impact of the institution’s operations.
We are investing our time and talent to benefit our communities
We continuously engage with the community and invest in social infrastructure and other humanitarian issues, including offering food, clothing, blankets, hygiene kits and other relief supplies during emergencies or natural disasters.
Various initiatives offer FINCA employees an opportunity to volunteer their time and resources in support of our community development. Through our initiatives, we endeavor to create a positive and lasting impact, fostering a better future for individuals, businesses, and the environment alike.

FINCA Malawi joined the Savings Awareness Week organized by the Reserve Bank of Malawi from 6th to 10th November 2023. FINCA joined other microfinance institutions in an awareness campaign that promoted a saving culture.

FINCA Malawi called for youth to actively partake in environmental conservation to secure transformed landscapes and livelihoods in the future. Speaking after planting 1,200 trees at Chikwawa Primary School on 17th January, 2020, FINCA Malawi’s marketing manager, Violet Mangani said planting the trees at the school is a tactic to ensure that students play a role in nurturing the trees, which will grow to protect the environment around them.

FINCA Malawi on 20th August launched Takunyadirani Campaign; celebrating 25 years of providing a holistic range of products and services with benefits that facilitate financial inclusion in the country while appreciating customers for the 25 years of existence.

For a fifth year in a row, FINCA has pumped in K500,000 towards Mother’s Fun Run (MFR). Mother’s Fun Run is a project by Nation Publications Limited (NPL) that mobilises for medical supplies and equipment to improve maternal health in public health facilities. Mother’s Fun Run is this year targeting health facilities under Ntcheu and Likoma districts health offices.
