On 8th March every year, people all over the world celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) by recognizing the various roles that women play in the society. This year 2017, at FINCA Ltd in Malawi, the international women’s day did not go unnoticed as celebrations took place under the universal theme “Be Bold for Change”.

FINCA Malawi made a pledge in commitment to the Theme, “FINCA Malawi will build a work environment conducive for all”. This included Women and men, the young and the old, for our staff as well as our customers. Bearing witness to the pledge, women in the management team took time to accompany staff to the field where they interacted with a Village Banking group to appreciate their continued work and celebrate both their individual and group success.

Being a customer driven institution, FINCA excited its female clients on the day with several activities. One happy client was quoted as saying “I am grateful to FINCA for recognizing us…with FINCA we have a relationship and we are valued as customers…it’s not all about business”.
