FINCA Donates computers to Ngumbe Community Day Secondary School

‘’Alleviating poverty through lasting solutions’’ is one of the catchy phrases in the FINCA mission. Living by the words FINCA Malawi made a donation of 4 brand new computers to Ngumbe Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) in Blantyre.

FINCA stressed the need for leaners in secondary schools in the country to take computer lessons seriously as part of the modern world tools expected to offer lasting solutions to poverty. The computers and their accessories were donated to assist the school in scaling up information and communications technology (ICT) lessons in line with Ministry of Education Science and Technology.

FINCA deputy chief operations officer, Alexon Mwakhula, who handed over the computers to the school, said research showed that leaners in developing countries such as Malawi are deprived of the right to advance in communication technology due to lack of facilities such as computers.

In conclusion Alexon said that ‘’it is the expectation of the donation besides every effort that Ngumbe produce future work force with appropriate skills to be absorbed in various industries including FINCA employees, hence building Malawi tomorrow together.
