FINCA Malawi has embarked on a drive to introduce savings products to consumers in Lilongwe and surrounding areas in the Central Region. The development follows the official Savings launch on April 1, 2016.

Speaking in an interview, FINCA Malawi Marketing Manager, Samson Mwalungila, said “the institution will always strive to provide its clients security on their investment.”

This is a continued celebration for achieving the acquisition of the deposit taking license and our priorities remain the ideals of reaching more people in Malawi with socially responsible financial services hence the introduction of the first ever flexible savings products on the market. Customers from Lilongwe are now opening FINCA savings and FINCA fixed deposit accounts.

As part of the expansion drive FINCA Malawi will soon launch savings products in the northern region and later complement non-savings branches with Agency Banking. This is the plight of being the first deposit taking microfinance institution in the country.
